Home Economist

Home Economists (also known as Family and Consumer Scientists) apply principles of economics, nutrition, finance, child development, and household management to improve family life and consumer well-being. They may work in education, product development, public health, or policy advising. Duties include developing educational programs, advising on food and nutrition, creating household product guidelines, and supporting sustainable living practices. Strong communication, research, and teaching skills are important. A degree in home economics or a related field is typically required. This role is ideal for those passionate about improving quality of life through practical knowledge and family-centered solutions.
